Place for running list of things we think are worth highlighting. Examples might include:

  • recent papers and lay summaries/graphical abstracts
  • recent CSAS projects highlighting interesting science advice
  • links and descriptions of little side projects we might have done that are interesting

Twenty years of Canada’s Wild Salmon Policy: reflections on the past and a guide for the future 2025 marked the 20th anniversary of Canada’s Policy for the Conservation of Wild Pacific Salmon (aka the Wild Salmon Policy or WSP). To mark the anniversary Brendan and Michael Price (SkeenaWild and Simon Fraser University) organized a special collection of papers that reflected on past successes and challenges and reimagined how the Policy might evolve and adapt to deliver on its promise to restore and maintain healthy and diverse salmon populations for generations to come. The special collection, published in the Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, can be found here and a synthesis of the papers and recommendations stemming from an April 2026 workshop will be posted here when published.
